In vitro three-dimensional cell cultures for bone sarcomas

چکیده
Bone sarcomas are rare tumour entities that arise from the mesenchyme most of which highly heterogeneous at cellular, genetic and epigenetic levels. The three main types osteosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, chondrosarcoma. These oncological characterised by high morbidity mortality an absence significant therapeutic improvement in last four decades. In field oncology, vitro cultures cancer cells have been extensively used for drug screening unfortunately with limited success. Indeed, despite massive knowledge acquired conventional 2D culture methods, scientific community has challenged loss efficacy drugs when moved to clinical trials. recent explosion new 3D methods is paving way more relevant models mimicking vivo environment (e.g. bone structure) biological responses close context. present review gives a brief overview latest advances studying primary sarcomas.
